Design Trends

As we approach the new year, we wanted to review our design predictions for 2022. Below we are sharing our top 5 trends to watch for in the New Year!

1. Wallpaper

We are seeing more and more fun and creative uses of wallpaper. Use it in your bathroom as seen on Project Deerview or add a fun accent in your pantry. If you're feeling daring why not try it on the ceiling in a bedroom!

2. WFH Design/Inspiring Backdrops for Zoom Meetings

Over the past year and a half many of us have had to adapt to making our homes more work friendly, whether you need a designated office space or extra seating at the kitchen island. On our project Hampshire the island features tons of seating with an open floor plan to the dining area. Large exposed beams and a show stopping range hood all make for an amazing zoom background.

3. Curves and Arches

We have seen a huge resurgence of arches in the past year and they will continue to be a popular design element in 2022. If a large arched doorway is too much of a commitment, try adding curved elements with a detailed door as seen at our Project Lansdowne. Another great way to add arches and rounded elements is through your decorative hardware.

4. Bold Choices and Spaces with Personality

The trend we love the most is doing what YOU love. Give your home personality by picking something you truly adore. Whether it's a colour, a style, or a piece of art bold choices are in! On Project Monterey a fun blue cabinet paired with pink accessories gives the space a very personal feel.

5. Dark and Moody with Warm Tones

Light and bright will always be a great go to in design, but we are also seeing a love for dark, moody, and warm tones! You can try this trend by adding some dark cabinetry with warm gold or brass tones. On project The Falls, a dark perimeter with a light island was paired with black and gold accessories.
