EST. 2010 - Thomas and Birch opened over a decade ago when Jonathan Poppitt brought his cabinetry expertise and engineering background to Vancouver Island from the Interior of BC. His goal was to provide to clients with qualified designers, quality millwork, and superior customer service to ensure total project satisfaction. With original staff members and some new ones along the way, our growing team is just as dedicated to these core principles as JP envisioned when he first opened the doors. Jonathan Poppitt CEO | OWNER

With a background in engineering, Jonathan brings a technical mind to create innovative solutions. He naturally moved into millwork design, where he could apply his attention to detail to deliver a quality product. His excellent leadership and family mentality make him approachable and easy to work with, and his long-standing relationships with clients, contractors and his staff attest to his integrity and commitment to excellent service.

An absolute wealth of information, Gwen has an answer to most design questions. Her keen eye and organization keeps the ship sailing smoothly, with projects on time and maintaining excellent communication with clients and trades.

Sandrine Vasilakos | Designer

Alexandra Bonner | Designer

Alexandra graduated from LaSalle College Vancouver with a Diploma in Interior Design. As an interior design professional, she has been involved in planning and designing interiors for residential, commercial and hospitality with a focus in cabinetry and millwork. Alexandra’s design approach is deeply influenced by her innate connection to people. Guided by a desire to understand their needs and aspirations, she brings empathy, creativity and purpose to every project.

Abril Cacho Romero | Jr. Designer

Abril expertly combines culinary artistry with design. After studying Culinary Management in Canada, she discovered a newfound passion for creating beautiful and functional spaces. With a keen eye for detail and a creative flair, Abril skillfully translates her love for food into stunning and practical interior design
