Top 5 Host/Hostess Gifts

By Sarah Honour | @my.westcoast.life

It's that time of year again. We will be enjoying holiday gatherings with friends and family. What do you bring to the host/hostess to say thank you?

We have a couple ideas that will help impress your next host. Below are our top 5 gifts to spread a little cheer!

1. Specialty Coffee or Tea

Depending on your host's taste you can purchase coffee, tea, or both! Look for a local coffee shop that grinds their own beans and a shop that has some unique tea flavours. You can add a pretty ribbon with a bow and you instantly have a sweet gift.

2. High End Dish Cloths or Tea Towels

Source a pretty natural option in towels or find a fun festive print. The sky's the limit regarding design and pattern. Look for a local shop that carries unique high end options.

3. Luxury Hand Soap or Dish Soap

Not only could you provide a luxury dish soap but you could offer to do the dishes! We recommend finding a soap in a beautiful glass container which the homeowner can refill and continue to enjoy throughout the year.

4. Kitchen Accessories

Gift an accessory that can be used and admired for years to come. A kitchen accessory could be a set of wood salad tongs, a lovely stone cheese board, or a mortar and pestle.

5. Luxe Candle

Candles are the perfect way to set the mood in a space and bring a cozy feeling during the winter months. Look for a hand poured candle in a luxe glass container or a set of hand made candlesticks. Bring a personal touch with a hand written thank you tag and a ribbon tied around.

Alright, let us know - what will you be bringing as your next hostess gift?
