Each month we share a Thomas and Birch project. We give you all the details
This month we are sharing Project Drake by designer Jason Rolstone. This project was a full reno of a downtown Vancouver condo. The space was transformed into a sleek and sophisticated home. The design combined the exposed concrete in the condo with rich walnut and faux metallic material.
The clean lines of the kitchen design were balanced with a touch of warmth by bringing in walnut tones. This upscale home was created with a carefully curated palette of wood, grey, black, and soft metallic tones.
The oversized handles on the pantry doors continue the vertical sweep of the walnut grain. The fridge was chosen as panel ready to create few distractions to the eye and make the walnut doors the center of attention.
A custom range hood was created with a faux metal finish that mimics the look of worn cast iron. This technique in Elmwood cabinetry is a 38 step layered paint process to create the patina of worn metal.
The industrial and modern look of the space was balanced with a touch of warm gold details with the faucet and bar stools legs.
Jason Rolstone combined Cabico's Unique series cabinetry with Elmwood cabinetry to create a luxury high end custom look.
